See active time, idle time, and application usage across your team's Windows computers — without screenshots or keystroke logging. Built for small to medium-sized businesses that want useful visibility, not invasive surveillance.
When you lack visibility into team work patterns, small issues can turn into bigger ones.
Without visibility, it's difficult to tell when work is flowing well and when time is being lost.
It's harder to have productive conversations when you are relying on impressions instead of patterns.
Most monitoring tools feel too invasive. You want useful oversight without turning work into surveillance.
Most monitoring software is built for large IT teams. It's complex, expensive, and far more than a 10-50 person business needs.
No IT department needed. No complex configuration. Just clear visibility, fast.
Create your company account in minutes. No credit card needed to start your 60-day hosted trial.
Install the lightweight Windows agent on each company computer. For larger rollouts, Group Policy deployment is supported.
Each machine reports activity data — active time, idle time, application usage — directly to your secure hosted dashboard.
Log into your dashboard any time to see activity by user, by computer, or across your whole team. Filter by date range and compare trends.
We built this tool for business owners who want accountability without turning their workplace into a surveillance operation.
We never capture images of employee screens. Activity data is behavioral — time active, idle time, applications open — not visual surveillance.
We record that keyboard activity occurred and how often — not what was typed. Passwords, messages, and personal content stay private.
See active vs. idle time, which applications are being used, and how work patterns shift over time. Useful context for real business decisions.
The lightweight Windows agent runs quietly in the background with minimal system impact.
Designed for small to medium-sized teams. Simple dashboard, honest pricing, no feature bloat.
All activity data is stored securely in your hosted account. No third parties, no data reselling — just a clean record of your team's computer activity.
Most monitoring tools are overkill — and most privacy claims are vague. Here's exactly how we stack up.

Most businesses start with the hosted plan — it's the fastest, easiest path to getting visibility without managing any infrastructure.
We handle everything — servers, backups, updates, and uptime. You focus on your business. Most customers are up and running the same day.
No credit card. Cancel anytime.
Technical teams with existing server infrastructure can self-host the full stack at no cost. You manage the setup, maintenance, and data.
Best suited for teams with technical resources.
That depends on how you introduce it — which is true of any management tool. Computer Activity Monitor is designed to give you high-level visibility into work patterns, not to micromanage individuals. We track whether a computer is active and which applications are open, not what employees are writing, reading, or doing in private. Most business owners who use the tool are transparent about it with their teams, which tends to make everyone more comfortable. The data is about patterns and productivity, not personal surveillance.
No. Not ever. We made a deliberate decision to exclude screenshots entirely. Screenshot-based tools create anxiety in workplaces, generate huge amounts of data to store and manage, and feel deeply invasive to most employees. We believe you can get the business visibility you need without capturing images of what's on someone's screen. Our data is behavioral — time active, time idle, applications in use, input activity levels — not visual.
No. We record that keyboard activity occurred and measure its frequency — but we never capture the content of what's typed. That means passwords, personal messages, client correspondence, and everything else employees type stays completely private. You'll see "keyboard activity: high / low / none" in reports — not the actual keystrokes.
Not at all. Many of our customers use it in traditional office environments. Even when employees are in the same building, activity data helps with things like understanding when your busiest hours really are, spotting patterns before a performance issue becomes a problem, and having more objective conversations about workload and output. Remote and hybrid teams tend to find it especially useful, but it works equally well in-office.
Most customers set up the hosted version themselves in under an hour. You create your account, download the 2MB Windows agent, and install it on each computer — or use Group Policy to push it out to your whole team at once. There's no server configuration, no database to manage, and no technical background required. If you get stuck, email support is available. The self-hosted version does require basic server and database setup, which is why we recommend the hosted plan for most small businesses.
The agent collects: active time vs. idle time per session, mouse movement and click frequency, keyboard activity frequency (not content), the name of the active application window, and whether any unusual input patterns are detected. It does not collect: screenshots, keystrokes, email or message content, browser history, or any personal data. Reports show this data by computer, by user, and by time period — so you can see trends across your team or drill into a specific machine.
